Future Development Tools - ' Yukon '

Yukon

Yukon has entered limited beta testing, and Microsoft has publicly released some details. All features from SQL Server 2000 will be included, with additional support for 64-bit processors and enhancements to T-SQL, SQL Server's programming language. Yukon will directly support the .NET Framework's Common Language Runtime (CLR), so Yukon-based programs can be written in any .NET language.

Reflecting the ever-rising importance of XML and Web services, Yukon will store nonrelational data in XML form and directly support Web services. These Yukon-based Web services can bring Yukon functions to environments that would not otherwise support them.
