Microsoft has delivered the capability for Visual Basic developers to create Windows Phone 7 applications.
On Sept. 23, Microsoft released the CTP (Community Technology Preview) of Microsoft Visual basic for Windows Phone Developer Tools. This CTP enables Visual Basic developers to create Windows Phone 7 applications with the final version of the Windows Phone Developer Tools.
In a Sept. 23 blog post, S. “Soma” Somasegar, senior vice president of the Microsoft Developer Division, said, “Starting today, you can download Microsoft Visual Basic CTP for Windows Phone Developer Tools. This is a great milestone as it enables our Visual Basic developers to be able to build applications for Windows Phone."
