Marina del Rey, Calif.-based LogicBlaze in March announced an entire SOA stack based on open-source software from the Apache Software Foundation, including an ESB (enterprise service bus), messaging platform, persistence database, service registry, management console and BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) orchestration engine, said Winston Damarillo, executive chairman of LogicBlaze.

Optaros officials said the alliance with LogicBlaze will enable Optaros to provide tailored solutions to customers who need cost-effective, enterprise-class SOA platforms.

At the announcement of Fuse, Damarillo said LogicBlaze would be looking to partners to help to provide support and services for Fuse.

Optaros has stepped forward as one of the first to provide consulting and systems integration services around Fuse.

"Our partnership with LogicBlaze further solidifies Optaros' presence in the SOA market and helps us to introduce our unique methodology and open source projects to customers without added complexity and expense," said Adam Michelson, director of SOA and enterprise architecture at Optaros, in a statement.

Also in a statement, Damarillo said: "The goal of this partnership is to accelerate the successful adoption of SOA by combining our open source, LogicBlaze Fuse platform with enterprise-class professional consulting services and capabilities.

"Together, LogicBlaze's open source technology and Optaros' open source expertise enable organizations to meet the technical and business objectives of SOA for high transaction-volume integration and enhanced Web 2.0 capabilities."
